Ninja Slayer Anime to Stream in Japan, U.S., Over 20 Other Countries

The official website for anime adaptation of the Ninja Slayer novel series, updated on Wednesday, and revealed that the anime will premiere via online streaming. The series will premiere its episodes on the Japanese streaming website Nico Nico on April 16 at 11:00 p.m. JST. The series will then broadcast on Japanese television in 2016.
The anime will also stream in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South America, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, , the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Monaco, , Italy, Spain, Portugal, Northern Europe, South Korea, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. (The anime's website lists some regions twice.) The platform or platforms for overseas streaming has yet to been announced.
The series will also be available online in Japan through Video Market.

The cast will be reprising their roles from the novel's audio drama.
King Records lists the story for the anime:
Kenji Fujikido is a salaryman whose wife and child were killed in a ninja turf war. In a brush with his own death, Fujikido is possessed by an enigmatic ninja soul known as Naraku Ninja. Fujikido cheats death and becomes "Ninja Slayer" -a Grim Reaper destined to kill evil ninja, committed to a personal war of vengeance. Set in the dystopian underworld of Neo-Saitama, Ninja Slayer takes on Soukai Syndicate ninja in mortal combat.
Akira Amemiya will serve as series director, while Boom Boom Satellites will perform the theme song, "Back in Black."
The story was originally posted piecemeal on Ninja Slayer Kills in Shōnen Sirius), as well as an audio drama with Toshiyuki Morikawa as the title character.
