Funimation Licenses Ghost in the Shell Arise: Alternative Architecture

Streaming of project's broadcast edition begins on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. EDT
North American anime distributor Funimation announced on Wednesday that it licensed the rights to the Ghost in the Shell Arise: Alternative Architecture anime. It will begin streaming the first episode at 7:30 p.m. EDT, and later episodes will begin streaming on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. EDT

Ghost in the Shell Arise was originally a four-part anime series, helmed by released the series' first two episodes in North America in a Blu-ray Disc/DVD combo last October.
The related film, open in Japan on June 20, and Alternative Architecture's two new television episodes will tie the two projects together.
