Vampire Knight Stage Play Replaces Akatsuki Kain's Actress

Production company Vampire Knight manga is returning in July, but with one cast member replaced. Vampire Knight -Revive- will run from July 1 to 5 at the Owl Spot theater in Tokyo's Ikebukuro district. Ayana replaces oni as Akatsuki Kain.
Root, a female model of "Boys-style" clothing, Nogizaka46 idol group member Yumi Wakatsuki, and "Boys-style" model Akira will return to reprise their roles as Zero, Yūki, and Kaname, respectively. The play features an all-female cast.



Kōji Tokuo wrote the script, and Shinnosuke Motoyama (choreographer on musicals) is returning to direct. ALGONQUINS provided assistance for the costumes. The first musical adapting the manga premiered this past January.
The manga revolves around Yūki, a high school girl whose unique school features a "day class" of normal kids and a "night class" of vampires. She works with her adopted father and heaster to prove that vampires can coexist with humans peacefully, but the school — and the vampires — hide many secrets.
