24th Animator Expo Short Is 'Rapid Rouge'

Dwango, revealed on Monday that the 24th short will be "Rapid Rouge" ("Shinsoku no Rouge").

Animator Expo describes the story:

An era where wars over oil have given way to wars over water.
The sub-countries of Yatsushima, a land blessed with abundant water resources, have intervened and made a puppet out of the Yatsushima Shogunate.
Distribution of water resources now torments the people.
So begins the Yatsushima revolution, a battle with vocal young people at its center.

Syūichi Iseki is adapting the designs for animation and is serving as animation director.

The short will debut on Friday. "Rapid Rouge" was not originally Kazuto Nakazawa and "Hammerhead" by Ōtarō Maijō and Mahiro Maeda.

This season's previously streamed shorts include Memoirs of amorous gentlemen.

Hideaki Anno himself is serving as executive producer of the entire project initiative with Dwango President Megumi Hayashibara.
