2nd Garo Anime to Premiere in October

Series set in Heian period with female protagonist
Producer series is slated for this October. Unlike the first Garo anime, this series will be a jidaigeki (period drama) set in the Heian period. It will have a female protagonist.
Maruyama also confirmed that the Garo anime film will have a new story. It is slated for next summer.
The Garo Project began in 2005, with the first series airing into 2006 with 25 episodes. It has since inspired multiple television series, films, and specials. The most recent live-action drama, Garo -Gold Storm- Shō, debuted with a film in March, followed by a television series in April.
The first television anime premiered in October, and streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
