SKE48 Idol Sumire Satō, Kensho Ono Star in Film of The Little Match Girl Manga

A live-action film adaptation of Kenshō Ono will also star in the movie as people with darkness in their hearts who encounter Rin. It will open in theaters in Japan on May 28.

Hori Pro producing the film, and it is also distributing the film with Starcat.
The original manga follows the somewhat mysterious daily life of an enigmatic girl named Rin. Her "delusion matches" turns momentary delusions into reality in their flickering flames. The name of the manga draws inspiration from a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen.
Kadokawa published the first two compiled book volumes of the manga in November 2014 and July 2015.
