New Lupin III Series Streams Ad For Unaired Episode 'Venice of the Dead'

VAP began streaming a promotional video on Wednesday for the unaired "Venice of the Dead" episode of the new Lupin III (Lupin III: Part IV) television anime series that VAP will ship with the fourth Blu-ray Disc and DVD release on March 23. The home video release will mark the episode's first release in Japan.
In the 23-minute episode, Rebecca is g the official divorce papers for her marriage to Lupin, when there is suddenly a zombie attack. The news reports that a zombie infection is spreading across all of Italy. (Warning: The rest of this summary may spoil the episode. Please highlight the white space to read.) [Lupin and his friends are desperately trying to escape, when they suddenly hear someone shout "Cut!" Rebecca, as it turns out, was shooting a zombie movie and wanted to go for a realistic approach, tricking Lupin and his friends in the process. The fourth Blu-ray Disc and DVD volume will contain episodes 10-12. The Blu-ray Disc will retail for 6,000 yen ($53) and the DVD will retail for 5,000 yen (US$44). The release will also include a three-sided case and a digipack designed by key animator Hisao Yokobori, an opening animation storyboard and select animation stills collection, and episode preview story cards.
The show's eighth and final Blu-ray Disc and DVD volume will also contain another bonus 23-minute episode titled "Nonstop Rendezvous." That release will contain episodes 22-24 and will ship on July 20 for the same price as the other volumes.
The "special that aired on January 8 will also ship on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on March 23.
Lupin III: Part IV, the first Lupin III television anime series in three decades to star the titular character, streaming the series in January.
