Duel Masters Gets 1st 3D Anime Short Film

10-minute film to open in 360° panarama screens

This year's April issue of Duel Masters: Hamukatsu to Dogiragon no Curry-pan Dai-bōken (Hamukatsu and Dogiragon's Big Curry Bread Adventure), will open on several 360-degree panorama screens in Japan starting on March 19, with more screenings slated for Golden Week (April 29-May 4). The film will have an approximately 10-minute runtime.

Original Shigenobu Matsumoto is supervising an original story for the film. After Katta drops his curry bread into the creature world, his hamster Hamukatsu goes on an adventure to retrieve it.

Theatergoers will receive a "Kakumei no Tekken" (Revolutionary Fist) Duel Masters card as a gift.

Sho-Pro (Shogakukan Shueisha Production) began streaming a trailer for the film:

The Duel Masters Versus Revolution Final (Duel Masters VSRF) television anime series will premiere on April 3. Sho-Pro began streaming an updated promotional video with the release date.

Katta Kirifuda, the younger brother of the previous franchise lead Shōbu Kirifuda, will continue to star in the series. The character been starring in the various television anime since 2011's Duel Masters Victory. His name is pronounced the same way as the Japanese phrase for "the trump card won the game."

In Japan, Duel Masters has already premiered in Japan in April 2015.

The confirmed in 2012 that it has no future plans to release the Japanese Duel Masters manga and anime in the United States.
