Gourmet! Manga About Prime Minister's Cook Inspires Live-Action Drama

TV Asahi's "Friday Night Drama" block at 11:15 p.m.

The series will star Hiroki Miyake.

Ohsaki drew the manga based on Nishimura's story from 2006 to 2010 in Weekly Comic Bunch, and Shinchosha published the series in 10 compiled volumes. The story follows Kurumi Ichiki, a young woman who gets a job as a resident cook for the Prime Minister of Japan, and must cook for various important people from around the world. Both the manga's title and the drama's title translate to "GOU・R・MET! ~Prime Minister's Cook~.

Nishimura is a career chef who has served the Japanese ambassadors in Brunei and Vietnam. Nishimura also collaborated with inspired a live-action television special adaptation.
