Mob Psycho 100 Ad Previews 'Mystery Unit' Mob Choir's Opening Theme

The anime will premiere on Tuesday, July 12 at 12:00 a.m. on stream the series in some territories as it airs in Japan.

Rock band Heavy Object) will perform the ending theme song "Refrain Boy." The single CD for MOB CHOIR's opening theme will ship on August 31, and will also include a "talking song" titled "Chōnōryokusha ni Arigatō" (Thanks to People With Special Powers), performed by Takahiro Sakurai as his character Arataka Reigen. Original creator ONE wrote the lyrics to the song.

The story revolves around "Mob," a boy who will explode if his emotional capacity reaches 100%. This boy with psychic powers earned his nickname "Mob" because he does not stand out among other people. He keeps his psychic powers bottled up so he can live normally, but if his emotional level reaches 100, something will overwhelm his entire body.

The manga creator ONE launched the Mob Psycho 100 series on Shogakukan's Manga ONE app in 2014. Shogakukan will publish the 12th compiled book volume of the manga on June 17.

Another manga by ONE, One-Punch Man, inspired the recent television anime.
