Live-Action Ghost in the Shell Film's 'Shelling Sequence' Clip Streamed

Clip features live performance music by Kenji Kawai, mirrors opening scene of original anime film

IGN began streaming a "shelling sequence" clip on Sunday for the live-action Ghost in the Shell movie.

Kenji Kawai, the composer of the soundtrack of the original Ghost in the Shell movie, led a performance of a new composition live on drums while the sequence screened. The performance features music from the original film.

debuted the film's first full two-minute trailer on Sunday after the trailer also debuted at the same event in Tokyo.

began in Wellington, New Zealand in January.

plays the Public Security Section 9 founder and chief Daisuke Aramaki.

French actress Tuwanda Manyimo (The Rover).

Richard Taylor are working on the film.

Additional staff include cinematographer Bart Mueller (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay).

The anime studio Mitsuhisa Ishikawa.
