XSEED Games began streaming four English-subtitled trailers to highlight the Servants Nameless (Mumei, or "no name"), Gawain, Cu Chulainn, and Li Shuwen from its Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star game on Tuesday.

XSEED Games is releasing the game in North America in early 2017, delayed from its previous winter 2016 release window. Marvelous' winter release timeframe for Europe and Australia remains unchanged. The game launched in Japan on Thursday.

XSEED will release a "Noble Phantasm Edition" for the game. The edition will contain a custom box, a hardcover art book, 16 cards depicting the game's Servants, and a cloth poster. The game's standard edition will cost US$49.99 on the PS4, and US$39.99 on the PS Vita, while the "Noble Phantasm Edition" will cost US$69.99 on the PS4, and US$59.99 on the PS Vita.

XSEED describes the game:

Kinoko Nasu wrote the game's main scenario, and performed the game's theme song "ex:tella."
