Overlord Anime's Compilation Project Split Into 2 Films With Myth&Roid Music

The "so-bin drew rough drafts for new characters.

The musical group MYTH&ROID is returning from the television series to contribute the theme music. The official website also posted the key visual (above) that so-bin drew for the first film.
The films will play at Kadokawa Cinema Shinjuku theater and Ikebukuro Cinema Rosa in Tokyo, as well as other theaters throughout Japan. While limited supplies last, advance tickets for the first film will go on sale on December 3 in a bundle with a Movi-Ticke Card, as well as a postcard set for the initial run.


The 13-episode Overlord television anime series premiered in Japan in July 2015. The story takes place in the year 2138 when virtual reality gaming is booming. Yggdrasil, a popular online game, is quietly shut down one day. However, the protagonist Momonga decides to not log out. Momonga is then transformed into the image of a skeleton as "the most powerful wizard." The world continues to change, with non-player characters (NPCs) beginning to feel emotion. Having no parents, friends, or place in society, this ordinary young man Momonga then strives to take over the new world the game has become.

The 11th novel volume also Ple Ple Pleiades chibi anime short series, featuring the appearance of the Pleiades combat maids, as well as the rest of the Floor Guardians.
Kugane Maruyama began the original light novel series online in 2010, and Kadokawa's Satoshi Ōshio's manga adaptation in December.
