Toriko's Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro Publishes 1-Shot Manga on April 1 (Updated)

Shimabukuro ended Toriko manga in November after 8 years

The March issue of one-shot gag manga in the magazine's May issue on April 1.

Mitsutoshi Viz Media published new chapters of the manga digitally simultaneously with the Japanese release in its digital English version of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, and also published the manga's 35th volume in print last August.

The manga inspired a 147-episode television anime series in 2011-2014. Funimation released part of the series on DVD. The manga also inspired several anime specials and crossover specials, and an anime film in 2013.

Update (on March 18): The manga is not a new series as previously reported, but is a one-shot. This year's 51st issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on March 18 that the manga's title is "Warai no Ōji Penpenpen" (Prince of Comedy Penpenpen). The manga will have 29 pages.
