Neofilms to Screen Monster Strike The Movie in Hong Kong in April

Film based mixi's mobile game opened in Japan in December, topped box office

Hong Kong film distributor Neofilms film in Hong Kong in April.

The film opened in Japan on December 10, and topped the Japanese box office in its opening weekend.

The film stars:

Nana Mizuki as Arthur

Kouichi Yamadera as Genome (a film-original character)

Actor Kentarō Ishibashi, an old-fashioned old man who is reticent and rude, but is always there to help someone out when they're in trouble.

The film tells a prequel story before the events of the net anime series. Arika" (Where the Dream Is).

The season starting in April.

The anime centers on protagonist Ren Homura, who returns to his hometown of Kaminohara, but something in his memories tells him he didn't really live in Kaminohara before. After the Monster Strike app is forcefully installed on his phone, the game and its battles start to help him piece together his scattered memories. Ren also uncovers the truth about the smartphone game.

The net anime series and anime film are both based on mixi's mobile game. The game's staff reports over 35 million players worldwide.
