Rock Band NOVELS Goes on Hiatus in May

Japanese rock band NOVELS announced on Wednesday that the group will go on hiatus after its concerts in Tokyo and Nagoya in May. This year marks the band's 10th anniversary.
Mao Takeuchi, the band's vocalist and guitarist, explained that the need time to think and regroup. He said, "By no means are we fighting and splitting up or something." The band's guitarist Masaaki Kusumoto said, "To continue NOVELS beyond this, I will temporarily stop running. I think I'll slowly walk around while looking at the surrounding scenery more after this."
The group was formerly composed of four , but Takeuchi and Kusumoto are currently the only full . Bassist Yuki Yamada and drummer Shōto Yoshida left the band in 2014.
