Igarashi's Bloodstained Game Cancels Wii U Version for Switch

Backers can change to Switch, any other platform, cancel order

Producer Koji "IGA" Igarashi Nintendo Switch version.

Igarashi explained that the campaign was conducted during the height of the Wii U's popularity, but that the situation has changed after the Switch's release. The situation now makes it difficult to receive from the hardware maker.

Backers who backed the Kickstarter campaign for a Wii U version in the backer survey have automatically been changed to the Switch version. Those who backed a Wii U version but were changed to the Switch version may change their desired version to any of the other platforms the game is releasing on, or may request a refund.

The creators are also PlayStation 4, PC, and PS Vita.

Bloodstained -Ritual of the Night- will be an "action-adventure game in the gothic horror style." The game will offer single-player, collaborative, and versus modes. The Kickstarter describes the game:

You are Miriam, an orphan scarred by an alchemist curse which slowly crystallizes your skin. You must battle your way through a demon-filled castle summoned by Gebel, your old friend whose body has become more crystal than flesh.

Igarashi (Ippō Yamada (Mega Man) will serve as sound producers and composers.

Igarashi Konami to form his own development studio in 2014.
