Seishirō Katō Stars in Short Film Based on Manga by Dee Juusan

The official website of the Kumamoto International Manga Festival revealed on Tuesday that 15-year old actor Assassination Classroom) and his younger brother, the nine-year-old Kenshirō Katō, will star in a short film adaptation of Dee Juusan's "Drawing a Smile Out" short manga. The short film will debut during at the Kumamoto International Manga Festival, which will take place on April 15 and 16.
The short manga by Jordanian illustrator Juusan won an "Excellence Award" for the second Silent Manga Audition in 2014. The Silent Manga Audition highlights artists who draw short comics around the world in the style of manga. All entries in the competition are required to have no dialogue. The theme for the second round in 2014 was "The Finest Smile."
