Teekyū Anime Renewed for Season 9 This Summer

Cast return, with Shin Itagaki once again directing, writing, deg
The official website for the television anime of Teekyū manga revealed on Friday that the anime will get a ninth season this summer. The returning main cast includes:
- Yui Watanabe as Yuri Oshimoto
- Suzuko Mimori as Kanae Shinjō
- Kyōko Narumi as Nasuno Takamiya
- Kana Hanazawa as Marimo Bandō
The original manga and the anime both follow the everyday lives of four girls in a high school tennis club — although they hardly play any tennis.
Piyo and Roots launched the original Teekyū manga in Usakame spinoffs, as they aired in Japan.
The show's eighth season MAPPA to Millepensee, and the studio also produced the Takamiya Nasuno Desu! and Usakame spinoffs.
