Shonen Jump Magazine Outlines 10 Projects Included in One Piece 20th Anniversary Issue on July 15

This year's 32nd issue of Sueisha's teased the project on Monday.
The 10 projects will include:
- A cover illustration recalling the issue that published the first chapter of One Piece on July 22, 1997 (original cover from 1997 pictured at right).
- The back side of the cover will feature a special illustration message by Oda.
- An opening-page poster.
- An appendix featuring the Straw Hat crew versus the strong fighters of the New World and with an "original shogi."
- A challenge project where fans search for straw hats.
- A new reader participation project where readers "appear" with Luffy.
- A collaboration between One Piece and the "School of Jump" project.
- More information on the One Piece 20th anniversary surprise that will happen on July 22.
- Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro will publish a 15-page one-shot manga about his memories of Oda.
- A six-page chapter of spinoff manga.
The magazine also teases that the surprise that will happen on July 22 will include announcements for event and media developments.
The manga's official 20th anniversary is on July 22, and Shueisha has teased that something will happen on that day.
The One Piece anime will One Piece Episode of East Blue: Luffy to 4-nin no Nakama no Daibōken on August 26. The special will be a completely new work, featuring reanimated scenes from the beginning of the series through when the crew enters the Grand Line.
One Piece is also getting its own three-issue Haruto Ikezawa, and other features.
Shueisha will also JoJo's Bizarre Adventure first appeared.
Oda's original manga has 350 million copies in print in Japan and 66 million copies in print outside of Japan. Shueisha published the manga's 85th volume on May 2, and will publish the 86th volume on August 4.
