Nadesico and Food Wars Released Monday

On Monday August 28, Martian Successor Nadesico on Blu-ray. The AlltheAnime website describes the story:

The Earth, its moon and its Martian colonies are under alien attack, but the war against the “Jovian lizards” has, so far, been nothing short of a series of disasters.

Disgusted by the incompetence of Earth's military, the independent arms manufacturer Nergal builds its own space battleship and plans to launch a desperate offensive to save humanity. But due to a shortage of trained soldiers, they've assembled the most unorthodox crew to ever launch into orbit! With a pacifist cook-turned-unwilling mecha pilot and a ditsy iral's daughter in command, can this unprecedented gathering of geeks, misfits and anime fans prevail against the Jovian menace?

As well as the 26-part series, the Blu-ray edition will also contain Gekigangar 3, as well as interviews with the Japanese cast; the featurette "Welcome to Belle Equipe"; and nine art cards and a sticker sheet.

Anime Limited will also release a Blu-ray and a DVD collecting Tokyo Ghoul. Tokyo Ghoul: "Jack" involves a delinquent schoolboy trying to take revenge on the Ghoul who killed his friend, while Tokyo Ghoul: Pinto is about a very unusual girl who begins a strange acquaintance with the dandyish Ghoul Shu Tsukiyama.

Shokugeki no Sōma comedy manga centers on Sōma, who works with his dad at his family's restaurant. His dad is a culinary master, and he often hosts cooking battles with his father. His father then enrolls him in an elite culinary school that is very difficult to enter, and the graduation rate is only about 10 percent.
