Hunter x Hunter Manga Goes on Hiatus With Plans to Return By End of Year

Manga returned from 1-year hiatus in June
This year's 40th issue of Hunter X Hunter manga on hiatus. However, Togashi reveals in the author comments in the same issue that he plans to resume the manga before the end of the year.
The manga had extended until April 2016.
Shueisha also published the manga's 34th compiled book volume (seen right) on June 26. Before that, the manga's 33rd volume shipped in June 2016. The 33rd volume was, at the time of its publication, the first compiled volume for the manga since December 2012. Viz Media released the 33rd volume in North America on March 7.
