The Ryuo's Work is Never Done! Anime Casts Ichiro Mizuki, Mitsuko Horie

TV series starring Rina Hidaka debuts on January 8

The official website for the television Mitsuko Horie will play Ai's mother Akina Hinatsuru. Both characters will debut in the anime's second episode.

The anime will premiere on AT-X on January 8.

The anime's main cast are reprising their roles from the novels' previous drama CD adaptation:

Yūma Uchida as Yaichi Kuzuryū

Rina Hidaka as Ai Hinatsuru

Ayane Sakura as Ai Yashajin

Hisako Kanemoto as Ginko Sora

Ai Kayano as Keika Kiyotaki

Yurika Kubo as Mio Mizukoshi

Chinami Hashimoto as Ayano Sadatō

Yui Ogura as Charlotte Izoard

Other roles Shō Hayami as President Seiichi Tsukimitsu.

Ranma ½) is composing the music.

Nippon Columbia is producing the music. Dreamshift is producing the project.

Miku Itō is singing the ending theme "Mamoritai-mono no Tame ni" (For What I Want to Protect).

The Ryuo's Work Is Never Done! (working title) is about a teenage boy named Yaichi Kuzuryuu who happens to be the strongest shogi player in history, holding the top title of “Ryūō” (Dragon King). One fateful day, shogi-loving elementary student, Ai Hinatsuru, appears before him claiming that he promised to be her master. But was such a promise really ever made? Thus began their master and disciple relationship!
