Phantasy Star Online 2 to Disable 'Episodes 1-3 Mode' in March

Sega disables old game mode to simplify game sequence

The official website for Sega's Phantasy Star Online 2 game announced on Wednesday that it will disable the "Episodes 1-3" mode from the game beginning late March. The announcement explained that the decision was made in order to simplify the game sequence for players, as the game can currently be played with both the "Episodes 1-3" mode and "Episodes 4-5" mode. The announcement contains more details on which exact features of the game will be depreciated along with the mode.

Sega released the free-to-play Phantasy Star Online 2 role-playing game for Windows PC in Japan in 2012, followed by a launched on the PlayStation 4 in April 2016, alongside the game's "Episode 4" update. The game's "Episode 5" update launched last June. The game has more than 4.5 million ed s.

The game will spring this year. The release will be a cloud game, allowing players to connect to a network and play with data stored in the cloud. Players will not need to game data. Basic gameplay will be free, but some in-game items will be available at a cost.

licensed the series for home video, and released it on Blu-ray Disc and DVD last March.

Kiyu Kibako ended it last July.
