Tezuka Mix Magazine's Launch Delayed Indefinitely

posted on by Karen Ressler
Magazine would have included Tezuka-based shorts by Japanese, Western creators

The official website for the Tezuka Mix Micro Magazine editorial department cited "production advancement circumstances," and referred readers to its own website for any future news regarding the project. The rest of the website, aside from the notice, is no longer active.

The fist issue was scheduled to ship on April 30, and it was going to run monthly for 18 issues. The Micro Magazine editorial department apologized for making the announcement so soon before the manga was scheduled to launch.

The magazine would have featured shorts based on Kotoura-san), among others.

The spinoff works from contributing Western artists would have included Apollo's Song by Luis NCT.

The site listed Osamu Tezuka, as well as Livedoor founder and former president Takafumi Horie as columnists for the magazine.

The magazine was conceived as a celebration of the 90th anniversary since the pioneering manga creator Osamu Tezuka's birth in 1928.
