Asia Animation Partners Declares Bankruptcy After Executive's ing

Studio Kuma established subsidiary studio for photography, effects work
Credit research company Tokyo Shoko Research (TSR) reported on Tuesday that anime production studio Asia Animation Partners filed for bankruptcy in a Tokyo district court on June 8. The studio has 16.5 million yen ($149,100) in liabilities to 11 creditors.
Shōji Sumibe ed away in December, after which Studio Kuma transferred all work to another studio and ceased business operations.
Asia Animation Partners is most recently credited for production on OVA in the Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki OVA series.
