A friendship between two sidelined athletes helps them return to their beloved sport and build a team for a competitive long-distance relay race.

A stage play adaptation also ran in January through February 2009. A six volume manga adaptation by Sorata Unno debuted in 2007 in Weekly Young Jump, then moved to Monthly Young Jump in 2008 and ran there until 2009.
