Higurashi: When They Cry Gets Stage Play Adaptation in July

Theater troupe Shingidan Mumei Classics announced on Saturday that it is producing a stage play adaptation of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni) visual novel. The play will run at the Lazona Kawasaki Plazasol theater in Kanagawa from July 24 to 28.
The stage play will have two versions, subtitled "Ryū" and "Mei," with different stories and cast . Performances of the play will alternate between these two versions with each performance.
07th Expansion launched the first chapter of the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni visual novel software in 2002 at adaptations by several artists.
Ryūkishi07 and 07th Expansion released Higurashi: When They Cry Hou for PC in Japan in 2014 as a "thank you" to series fans (the kanji used for Hō is used in the word Hōnō, "dedication").
