Fanworks, ADK Collaborate with Chinese Company Quan on Short Anime

The anime will have 24 episodes, each around 15 seconds to a minute long, and they will be ed twice a week. The anime will be framed vertically for a smartphone's portrait view. The project marks the first time a Japanese company will distribute an anime in this way for China's video app market.
The anime's story follows Mr. Egg, a character who has achieved two million sticker s in the Chinese social media app WeChat. In the setting of a refrigerator, a companionship unfolds between the good but slightly pessimistic and fragile Mr. Egg, and Hyokolien, a chick who breaks out of Mr. Egg's shell and asserts his opinions.
Fanworks plans to establish a broad range of business development for the project, including merchandise and games to take advantage of the characters' popularity.
