Godzilla vs. Kong Earns US$121 Million in 1st 3 Days Internationally

Godzilla vs. Kong film earned the equivalent of US$121.8 million in its first three days opening in 38 markets outside the United States. According to entertainment news website Deadline, the film opened at #1 in all markets where it released last weekend.
The film earned US$70.34 million in China from Friday to Sunday, ing 82% of box office sales in that period with 11.8 million tickets, having the highest-earning opening weekend for a non-Chinese film in China for 2020 and 2021 so far, with US$9.4 million of the weekend gross in China coming from IMAX ticket sales.
The film earned US$2.45 million from Friday to Sunday in South Korea for 51% market share. The film has earned a total of US$2.79 million in the country after four days. The film earned US$6.3 million each in Mexico and Australia, US$5.8 million in Russia, US$5.2 million in Taiwan, US$4.8 million in India, US$3.4 million in Thailand, US$1.9 million in Malaysia, and US$1.9 million in the UAE.
The film opened internationally on Friday in territories where the open on May 14 in Japan.
Warner Bros. and Legendary Netflix had offered to purchase the streaming rights for Godzilla vs. Kong for US$225 million or more.)
