Goodbye Don Glees! Has U.K. Premiere at Edinburgh in August, Cinema Release Later in 2022

Goodbye, Don Glees! will have its UK premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, with screenings on Tuesday August 16 at 2 p.m. and Friday August 19 at 9.15 p.m.
An Anime Limited press release confirms that the director will attend the screening on August 16, and the film will have a wider cinema release in the UK and Ireland later in 2022.
Tickets are now on sale to Edinburgh Filmhouse and Screen Saver holders, and will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m on Friday July 22.

The film is described on the festival website as follows:
"Farm boy Roma is determined to upstage the school bullies with his own spectacular fireworks display. His friend Toto is back from Tokyo, and together they are a gang, with their own makeshift clubhouse – they are the DonGlees! But when the boys are accused of starting a fire, they must travel to the nearby mountain to prove their innocence. Cue the wild adventures. Atsuko Ishizuka blends heartfelt final-summer-of-youth vibes with stunning sequences of whimsical fantasy."
Goodbye, Don Glees! host the Canadian premiere. The festival will take place from July 14 - August 3.
Tsutomu Ueno handled the sound effects.
Ishizuka (A Place Further Than the Universe, No Game, No Life Zero, Kadokawa is distributing the film.
