Ōoku: The Inner Chambers Manga Gets New Live-Action Series Next January

Fumi Yoshinaga's alternate-history manga already inspired 2 live-action films, live-action series
JIN) is penning the scripts for the show.
The series will primarily center on the Iemitsu, Tsunayoshi, Yoshimune, and Imperial Restoration arcs. NHK will begin revealing the cast for each arc in September.
The manga has already Ōoku: Eien - Emonnosuke・Tsunayoshi Hen in December of the same year.

In Edo period Japan, a strange new disease called the Red Pox has begun to prey on the country's men. Yoshinaga launched the manga in recently, the Grand Prize in the 42nd Nihon SF Taishō Awards.
