Dragon Quest's Yuji Horii, Blue Lock's Muneyuki Kaneshiro Collaborate on New Switch Game

Game studio Any announced on Wednesday that it is collaborating with game studio ArtePiazza to develop a new Switch game titled Tensei Game (Reincarnation Game) for release in 2026, with Dragon Quest RPG series designer As the Gods Will) credited with the original planning. The studio describes the game as a "friendship ruining sugoroku game" (sugoroku refers to a genre of traditional Japanese dice-based board game with roll-and-move mechanics, similar to snakes and ladders). The game is set in a world named Rinnekai (Reincarnation World), a dark fantasy world which is filled with characters that will allow players to ruin friendships.
In the game, players will be able to obstruct each other, which may lead to their pieces dying and "reincarnating" repeatedly, accumulating "karma" in the process, which can be used to further obstruct and betray players.
The developer is looking to develop the property into anime, merchandise, and TikTok content.
Ayaka Sato is the game director, and YouTuber koyakky is credited as project director. Shintarō Majima is deg the characters.
Kaneshiro and Kodansha published the manga's 33rd compiled book volume on March 17.
