4K restoration to screen at Tribeca Film Festival for 20th anniversary
Nobuhiro Yamashita's 2005 Linda Linda Linda film. The company will screen a 4k remaster of the film in celebration of the 20th anniversary at the Tribeca Film Festival, which runs from June 4-15 in New York City. The film will also have a theatrical and home release in 2025.
The film originally debuted in Japan in 2005, and released the film on DVD in 2007. The film follows an all-girls high school rock band, who must recruit a new lead vocalist before their high school festival in three days.
The film stars Bae Doona (The Host, Broker), Base Ball Bear band member).
It features original tracks composed by James Iha of The THE BLUE HEARTS, and songs from Base Ball Bear.
The film also inspired the name of the band The Linda Lindas.
