Stephanie Young and David Brehm Return to Matsuricon
Matsuricon favorites David Brehm return for 2014 with "The Brehms" band ensemble.
COLUMBUS, OH - May 18th, 2014 - Matsuricon is very happy to welcome back Stephanie Young and David Brehm to Matsuricon, and welcome their entire pop/jazz band "The Brehms!"
Stephanie Young is a professional actress, singer/songwriter, producer, and fan of caffeinated beverages that jolt her from one creative project to the next! As a voice actress and singer, she quickly developed a niche voice for dominating females, witches, warriors and queens in the wonderful worlds of anime and gaming. She is best known for her work as “Nico Robin” in Trinity Blood.
Stephanie's latest game projects include the role of the “Sheriff of Lynchwood” in Borderlands II, the lead female vocals (singing) in Ms. Splosion Man, and “Weaver” in Orcs Must Die! In Comic Jumper: The Adventures of Captain Smilely, Stephanie is the female vocalist in the “Brad” theme song, as well as the voice of the Viking hottie, “Nordya”. Other gaming credits include Fiona” in Spike Out, Battlestreet and “Selket” in Unreal Championship II, The Liandri Conflict. Stephanie can also be heard singing theme songs for Dragon Ball GT, Negima!, One Piece, and as her character Oruha in Tsubasa.
As a singer/songwriter, Stephanie enjoys lending her signature, soulful vocals, along with her guitarist husband ONE is his camera of choice ) David's credits include "Humans Versus Zombies," "Balaam Gimble's Gumption," and numerous music video projects.
Beyond working as an animator, producer and director, David is also a children's book author and illustrator. "Willy Nilly - Volume I" is David's latest illustrated offering.

David graduated with a bachelors degree from the University of North Texas where studied Art & Jazz guitar, then he went on to study computer animation& Multimedia and graduated (with honors) from the Art Institute of Dallas. Currently David and his wife (Stephanie Young Brehm) compose original music for THE BREHMS, an eclectic jazz-pop band from the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
Also scheduled to appear at Matsuricon 2014 are voice actors Professor Shyguy, and the Symphonic Anime Orchestra, all scheduled to perform throughout the weekend!
