Genericon XXVIII Welcomes Tristan MacAvery and Returning Guests Uncle Yo and Antipode
TROY, NY (February 20 , 2015) – The staff of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's annual student-run anime, sci-fi, and gaming convention, Genericon, are pleased to welcome U.S. Manga Corps. He has provided voices for more than 50 characters in various anime releases, and wrote a score of scripts and directed many of them.
From Masquerade MC, playwright and dedicated podcaster, Yo goes where he is needed to celebrate fandoms, welcome newcomers, and promote equality.
Our returning guest Antipode is a geek belly dancing troupe hailing from State College, PA. Fusing the theatrics of acting with a mix of cosplay, pop-culture, and off-beat humor Antipode brings the audience full geek entertainment.

Genericon is an annual, student-run sci-fi, anime, and gaming convention, the oldest of its kind in the United States. For 28 years, it has been run by student staff and volunteers at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute campus in Troy, New York.
