MyAnimeList to Hold English Web Novel Contest 'MAL x Honeyfeed Writing Contest (2021)'

TOKYO - June 25th, 2021 MAL as Usual Then I Realized My Web Novel Could Become Manga” or simply “MAL x Honeyfeed Writing Contest (2021).” A total prize pool of US$10,000 will be up for grabs. The contest will start on July 6, 2021, and the winning entry will be announced in December 2021.

The contest will be held in collaboration with Honeyfeed, an English web novel community operated by Kodansha Ltd. for possible publication and/or comicalization.

This contest will also contribute to spreading Japan's anime culture even further and deeper than ever before. We believe there is a need to create an ecosystem where overseas anime fans can not only watch finished products but also contribute to the anime creation process.

Entry Period: July 5 to September 5, 2021

Public Voting (Semi-finals): October 3 to November 6, 2021

Public Voting (Finals): November 14 to November 30, 2021

Winner Announced: December 12, 2021
