1st Cardcaptor Sakura Film Returns to Japanese Theaters in January

The December issue of Cardcaptor Sakura franchise, will return to Japanese theaters on January 21, 2017.
The magazine confirms the following theaters:
- Shinjuku Piccadilly, Shinjuku, Tokyo
- Cine Libre, Ikebukuro, Tokyo
- 109 Cinemas Kawasaki, Kawasaki, Kanagawa
- Osaka Station City Cinema, Umeda, Osaka
- Namba Parks Cinema, Namba, Osaka
- MOVIX Kyoto, Kyoto
- 109 Cinemas Nagoya, Aichi
- United Cinemas Canal City 13, Fukuoka
- United Cinemas Sapporo, Sapporo, Hokkaido
Cardcaptor Sakura: The Movie premiered in Japan in 1999. Discotek licensed Cardcaptor Sakura: The Movie, which was previously owned by Geneon, and released it on home video the following year.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the original manga. CLAMP launched the Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Hen (Card Captor Sakura: Clear Card Arc) project is also in the works.
