Glass Mask's In-Story Play 'Tōriame' Gets Real-Life Adaptation

"Tōriame" (A ing Rain) will be the next in-story stage play from Glass no Kamen) manga to receive a real-world stage play adaptation. The play will run for six performances at Namba Jiyū Gekijō Akaru Studio from April 27-30.

The play stars Glass Mask character Maya and centers on the ordinary high school girl Hiromi Satō. She leads a modest but happy life with her parents, older brother, and younger sister. One day, Hiromi experiences an incident that turns her world upside down forever.

Yuka Hyōdō and Suzuki-P are returning to direct the play, and Megumi Sugiyama is writing the script. Sae Sakimoto and Yukine Iwamura are double-cast as Hiromi. The pair won a Glass Mask acting competition to earn the role.

Previous plays within the Glass Mask story to receive stage play ran in Tokyo and Osaka in 2016.

Miuchi launched the manga in 1975, and it inspired a 1984 television anime series and a 2005-2006 anime delayed indefinitely in 2013, and the 49th volume was released in 2012.

The Flash anime studio anime on July 22.
