TokyoPop announces an August 28 release date for St. Tail volume 1 on DVD and VHS for $29.99 and $19.99 respectively. Future volumes should come at a rate of 1 every 2 months.

Superheroes aren't always what they seem and Meimi
Haneoka (aka Young Comic book heroine of the same name and is the light-hearted story of a cute and clumsy girl who uses magic and cheerfulness to help those in need.
Meimi Haneoka seems to be an ordinary eighth-grade student at St. Paulia's Catholic School, but at night she becomes the mysterious thief, Saint Tail! She is sent on missions to help the innocent by her best friend, Seira Mimori, a nun in training. Though she only steals to help people, Saint Tail is still pursued by the police and her classmate, Asuka Jr., the son of a famous, but bungling detective. They are friends at school where he has no idea of her secret identity, but each night the rivalry begins anew. Using illusions and trickery, Saint Tail eludes the junior detective. Still, she enjoys the game of cat and mouse and sometimes leaves little clues to draw him onto her trail. Will the young sleuth catch her this time? Or will it be his heart she steals next?
Based on the manga of Nakayoshi from 1995 to 1997, is her most popular work.
The first three-episode volume has a street date of August 28 and TOKYOPOP® Anime will follow with subsequent releases on VHS/DVD every other month.
