Patlabor WXIII Release Date

Hits store shelves on April 8th in special and regular editions
Pioneer has announced a street date of April 8th for Production I.G will be available in a three-disc Special Edition, and as a standard one-disc release. The Special Edition will retail for $54.98, while the standard edition will run $29.98.

The movie will be in Dolby Digital 5.1 sound (and 2.0).

DVD features include:

    Disc One (Feature Film):
  • Anamorphic Widescreen Film

    Disc Two:
  • Directed by Jin-Roh, Blood), Mini-Pato (Mini-Patlabor) animated parody short films featuring:
  • Screenplays by Ghost in the Shell, Patlabor 1 and 2)
  • Character designs and animation by Tetsuya Nishio (Jin-Roh)

    Disc Three:
  • Three documentaries about Patlabor including The Making of WXIII
  • The project's pilot film (experimental film used to pitch the project and obtain funding)
  • Textless opening with a sing-a-long feature
  • Layout gallery with the Say Young radio program
  • TV commercials
  • 5.1 Channel Sound Gallery
