Stars negotiating for the parts of Speed Racer's Parents
Associated Content reports that Speed Racer's parents in the live-action Speed Racer movie.
Emile Hirsch, the 22-year-old star of Lords of Dogtown and The Girl Next Door, was recently cast as titular character-Speed Racer.
The directors, Andy and Vince Vaughn, who had previously been attached to the project as a producer, was still likely to play the role of Racer X in the Wachowski directed movie.
Filming is set to start on Speed Racer this summer in , with the movie due to be released on May 9, 2008. It will be the first Wachowski directed movie since the Matrix trilogy, although the brothers did produce V for Vendetta.
