Oblivion Island Wins Award at Seoul's SICAF

The animated feature film Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror won the Special Jury Prize in the Feature Films Category at the 14th Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival. SICAF was held in Seoul from July 21 to July 25.
Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror was directed by Media Arts Festival in 2009. Oblivion opened in Japan on August 22 and premiered in the U.S. at the New York International Children Film Festival 2010.
Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror is about Haruka, a single daughter living with an emotional distant father. One day at a local shrine she encounters a small magical creature that takes her to the land of forgotten items. Here, she finds memorablia from her childhood and the Baron, the ruler of Oblivion Island who has been watching her.
