Harmony Gold Cancels Robotech Academy Kickstarter

The company said it will "continue to explore its options with Robotech Academy" and further updates will be made on the project's official website. Some of the backer rewards may be made available as part of Robotech's 30th anniversary next year.
The campaign was accepting backers to fund a 24-minute pilot to "continue the legacy of the original animated series and bring the Robotech universe to a new generation of anime audiences."
The story was going to be based on the work of the Aura Battler Dunbine.
Scott Glasgow was in charge of music, and CreaVision was tasked with the computer animation.
