Furious 7's James Wan in Talks to Direct Live-Action Robotech

The Hollywood Reporter: Sony extends offer to director of Saw, The Conjuring
The Hollywood Reporter entertainment news source is reporting on Wednesday that James Wan "has the offer and is in early talks" with Robotech film. In addition to co-creating and directing the first Saw film, Wan directed The Conjuring film and Furious 7, the top-grossing film in 2015 so far. He is already attached to film The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist this fall, and Warner and Universal are also pursuing him for Aquaman and Fast & Furious 8, respectively.
Robotech was Macross (the most popular of the three anime).
