The play will run at the Tokyo Geijutsu Gekijō Playhouse from November 5-15. Tickets go on sale on the e-plus website on August 25.
The play will also "for the first time in Japan" use 3D videos as part of the main performance, and will feature the cast acting alongside the videos to enhance the performance. Attendees will wear 3D glasses. (This year's Universal Studios Japan is also using 3D videos alongside the actors' performances.)

A television broadcast of the four OVAs with two extra episodes premiered in Japan on April 5 under the title streamed Ghost in the Shell: Arise Alternative Architecture as it aired.
The Kōkaku Kidōtai Shin Gekijō-ban (performed the film's theme song "Mada Ugoku" (It Still Moves).
