Godzilla earns US$15.4 million in 2nd weekend

Godzilla: King of the Monsters earned an estimated US$15.4 million to rank #4 in the in the United States box office in its second weekend, a 68% drop from its first weekend. The film has earned an estimated total of US$213.7 million in the foreign market, for an estimated total worldwide gross of US$292,297,097.

The film was originally slated for March 22, but was earned US$49 million in the United States in its opening weekend.

Pokémon Detective Pikachu film earned an estimated US$2.98 million to rank #9 in its fourth weekend in the United States box office. The film has earned an estimated cumulative total of US$137,401,719 in the United States. The film has now earned an estimated US$272.1 million internationally, and has earned an estimated cumulative total of US$409,501,719 worldwide.

The film had the highest U.S. opening weekend box office for any film adaptation of a video game (unadjusted for inflation), with its US$54 million opening weekend earnings topping Lara Croft Tomb Raider's US$47.7 million in 2001.
